Making Jesus Known

Building to reach — five years behind us, five names before us, and a local Gospel presence to establish on the east side of Leon County.

Capital Campaign · 2026–2029 Goal · $3,800,000 8915 Buck Lake Road

“Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples!”

Psalm 105:1

Challenge One

The Why

This campaign is not about a building. It is about the people a building lets us reach. Before we talk about square footage or dollars, we have to look honestly at the field God has placed us in — because that field is the reason for everything else on this page.

292,817people live in Leon County
260,000do not attend any church, anywhere, of any kind
69,397of them are under the age of 18
3,000came to faith in ONE day (Acts 2:41)

That is not a statistic. That is our neighborhood.

Two hundred sixty thousand people within driving distance of our front door have no church home. Nearly seventy thousand of them are children and teenagers. These are the families in line at the grocery store, the kids on our ball fields, the coworkers in the next cubicle.

In Acts 2, three thousand people came to faith in a single day. One church, obeying one mission, and Heaven moved. We are not asking God to bless our plan — we are asking to join His.

“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.”

Psalm 127:1
The Why Challenge

Five Names

Every person and every family at The Bridge is asked to prayerfully commit five names — five people you already know who need Jesus and do not yet know Him.

  • Not five strangers — five people you have a real relationship with.
  • Pray for them by name, every week.
  • Invite them. Invest in them. Keep showing up.

Five names, times every family in this room.

Challenge Two

The How

So how do we reach them? We plant a permanent, visible Gospel presence on the east side of Leon County — a facility built for worship, discipleship, and fellowship, with a front door our neighbors can actually find.

Scripture is clear that the church is God's people, not a facility. But a facility is a tool — the tool that lets us keep making Jesus known instead of running out of room to do it.

What We Are Asking

Two Commitments

One card. Two commitments. The first is the why — the people we are reaching. The second is the how — the building that helps us reach them. We are asking every family to prayerfully make both.

Commitment One

The Prayer Commitment — Five Names

Write down five people who need Jesus. Commit to pray for them by name, invite them, and invest in them over the next three years.

  • Five names per person or family
  • Names stay private — only the total is ever posted publicly
  • Reviewed and renewed in prayer through the campaign

Write the five names on the commitment card and keep a copy where you will see it — on the fridge, in your Bible, on your dashboard. Bring the card back and we will pray over these names as a church family.

This is the commitment that makes the building worth building.

Commitment Two

The Building Commitment — Give & Pledge

An initial gift, and then a three-year pledge from 2026 to 2029 — above and beyond your regular giving.

  • Campaign goal: $3,800,000
  • Gifts of cash, stock, property, or other resources
  • Fulfilled weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually — your choice
Example giftOver three years
$750,000Lead gift
$250,000Major gift
$36,000$1,000 / month
$9,000$250 / month
$3,600$100 / month

Not Equal Gifts — Equal Sacrifices.

On the giving page, choose the building campaign in the fund dropdown — it opens on General Budget.

Every gift matters, because this is about faithfulness with what God has entrusted to you — never comparison with what someone else gives.

The Ask

Commit Now

This week, take a commitment card — at church or online — and pray this simple prayer with your family:

“God, what would You have me do?”

Five names. One building. One mission.
Every gift builds something eternal.
